◆ When these tea wares arrived in Europe, in the late 17th century, they were called “devil’s work” because the Europeans could not understand how it was possible to manufacture such delicate and at same time strong double-bodied cups painted on the inner wall. At the time the Europeans could not manufacture hard-paste porcelain.
