Very fine and rare Chinese export porcelain ruby-back saucer dish decorated in opaque enamels from the famille rose (fencai) palette with a domestic river scene with one couple with a little boy on the shore buying a fish from a fisherman while the wife holds a baby, c. 1730, Yongzheng reign, Qing dynasty, d. 20,3 cm, 8 in. (2 cm glaze crack at 21h00) 3.8156ab Bespoke box.

Provenance: sold by Bernheimer, Munich, Germany, to a Bavarian Collection dispersed at Christie’s, London, on the 6 November 2008, lot 237.
